When you go to a medical marijuana dispensary, tell them what you need, and ask questions
I can’t sleep because of the pain, or I need to manage my pain, tremors or nausea during the day and not be high. If you have seizures or tremors most likely you’re not going to be using the same thing as someone you know that has chronic pain, or PTSD. If you have lungs that are compromised, then you need to focus on edibles.
You need to either do your own research (weedmaps.com) or have a conversation with someone at the dispensary, to find a strain / formula that is best for you. If you’re not prepared, then you risk continually buying stuff that’s not right for you, or possibly just the wrong dose for your condition.
Cannabis is not meant to replace pain meds, so don’t use it that way. It is meant to be used continually to keep inflammation down, and to prevent further deterioration of your condition. This medicinal plant works at so many levels to help your body heal, so If you are using it only when you feel you need it, then you’re missing out on the full benefits.
A CBD "isolate" is a safe place to start if you have pain. It comes in gummies and vape pins. With edibles always start with half of the dose and wait up to 40 min before another dose should you need it. The effects with inhalation are felt in about 1-2 minutes, and last 1-3 hours. With edibles in about 20-40 min, and the effects last 3-5 hrs.
Research, ask questions, keep track of what you've used, use proper dose throughout the day.
